Visualizing works!

Now landing in Iceland. IMG_29665snhdepFhfiPmChe.jpg

It’s like landing on the moon.

Whisked away in our ride…

Shots from inside the vehicle, behind the window…

Moss-grown lava fields…

20140330-151106.jpg Iceland is a pioneer in the use of geothermal energy for space heating, providing the heating and hot water requirements of approximately 87% of all buildings in Iceland.

Home of the world’s best Coke, we kid you not! The local Coca-Cola is made from Icelandic glacial water and no corn syrup! No wonder “Icelanders drink more Coca Cola per capita than any other nation“. Other extremely interesting Icelandic facts you never knew here.IMG_3008

The House of Parliament…

Approaching the old harbor area…

20140330-151342.jpgYou can see the Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Center in the background. The glass facade is meant to reflect both sky and harbor, as well as the vibrant life of the city.

Reykjavik at night reminds me of Santa’s Little Village….

Geotourism in the city…

Streets seemed empty even after dinner.

And by the time we leave, it’s just in time for the weekend’s pub crawl, also known as Rúntur.

Meanwhile, waiting for us back at our hotel…
